This program calculates the gas compressibility (Z) factor for sweet and sour natural gas by the Wichert-Aziz method. It is arranged to generate a matrix of Z factors at desired pressures and temperatures. When downloaded, it can be incorporated into any other program requiring an estimate of a Z factor for a given composition, pressure and temperature. The program is provided in SI units (Sheet 1) and Imperial units (Sheet 2). |

All raw gas is saturated with water vapour in the reservoir. During natural gas production, the pressure and temperature change along the flowpath. The water content in the gas at saturation as well as the amount of water condensing into the liquid phase can be estimated by the method outlined in this spreadsheet, from the reservoir to the plant inlet separator. |

This program calculates the bottom-hole pressure for a flowing or shut-in gas well by the well-known Cullender and Smith method. Further, the minimum gas flow rate required for maintaining the well unloaded with water by the Turner method is also determined. |
